Things that used to work no longer work and it can never be repaired. I guarantee that if you use a registry cleaner enough times over the period of many months that it will break something on your OS. Every time I've ever had to reinstall windows was basically related to registry issues do to the use of registry cleaners. Even Microsoft does not recommend a registry cleaner. If a registry cleaner was needed, then Microsoft would have come up with one. What you posted should be read by everyone that has a registry linked to their OS. Do not rely on registry cleaners telling you the truth about anything such as "Is your computer running slower?" A number of other more logical answers can best sum up why your computer is running slower and one of them would NOT BE YOUR REGISTRY! Only a professional who understands the registry should ever attempt to clean it up manually. Once there are enough broken things on your OS, you'll have to end up reinstalling Windows because of the frustration of your current broken one.
