Tried now to import these pictures again (now from my USB pen) - I plugged in the USB memory, Windows AutoPlay asked me what I like to do? I selected "Import with Dropbox" and Dropbox started the search for new pictures.

Windows 10 these days does not automatically run Auto-Play function anymore IF a regular SD card / USB is used (!!!) but only when a camera or MP3 player is connected. Windows used to have an Auto-Play function which askes you, what you like to do, when connecting a removalble memory or device. So I deleted all these new 1120 pictures and copied them onto a USB stick and fixed the Windows 10 issue with Auto-Play.įor those of you having the same issue - here you go: (I was searching if there is a way to re-name them automatically by using Dropbox but I only found external software. Thanks to lovely Windows, the Auto-Run option for removable media was not proberly working (in the beginning) so that I accidentally copied pictures from my camera's SD card into Dropbox and discovered that the Auto-Renaming of Dropbox only works, when Dropbox upload pictures by it's own routine.

I have a new windows machine and installed the latest Dropbox on the new PC.
